Pagid RS Dominate the 2010 Rolex 24 hour
|
In a race marked by unusual weather and a record number of lead changes an upstart team challenged the establishment and won. The no.9 Action Express Porsche Riley Prototype held off Chip Gannassi's BMW powered Riley Prototype by 52.3 seconds to win the 2010 Rolex 24 Hour race held at Daytona.
Cars equipped with Pagid Rs Race Pads finished in position 1 to 10 which marked the 11th overall triumph at Daytone for a Pagid Technical Partner Team.
All but one Prototype team relied on Pagid RS Endurance Race Pads and so did 75% of the GT class team |

Sabelt - Official Apparel Supplier to Kelly Racing
|
Kelly Racing have chosen Sabelt as thier exclusive Race Apparel and Harness suppliers for the 2009 Championship season. Kelly Racing will be wearing the latest Sabelt Diamond Design suit, Power Gloves, Fireproof Underwear and Race Boots from the Sabelt light range. The Kelly Racing team which consists of Todd Kelly, Rick Kelly, Jack Perkins and Dave Wood will also be using Sabelt Harnesses in their cars.
At their first test at Winton in the beginning of March, they contacted us to let us know how blown away they were about the quality of the Sabelt Diamond Design Suits. Rick Kelly said "This is by far the best suit I have ever worn. Our cabin temperatures can get up to 60 degrees, this Sabelt suit is lightweight and very effective in keeping us as cool as possible."
I'm wrapped with the suit. It's very comfortable and much cooler than the suits I have had in the past. The quality is also second to none which means they will last the distance of our championshoip season." Todd Kelly
Todd and Rick Kelly have previously driven for top teams including HRT and HSV. |

Team Mitsubishi Ralliart WIN Bathurst 12 hr
|
Team Mitsubishi Ralliart won Bathurst 12 Hour Endurance Race for the second year running. The winning car used Endless Endurance brake pads supplied by BSMSport and the Brembo 72 vane Evo X Group N disc to complete the race without a brake pad change.
Driving the new TMR built Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, Damien White, Rod Salmon & Tony Longhurst won from their sister TMR Evo X with the Pro-Duct Evo X in third place.
TMR Manager Alan Heaphy told us that “all three drivers commented on the consistent performance of the brake system throughout the 12 hour race”. “The pedal was the same every lap, the stopping power was the same, you could jump on the brakes at any time with full confidence”. “To prove the point, in the closing stages of the race Damien White put in a succession of 2:30 laps similar to his fastest time.” “The Brembo discs finished in excellent condition, looking like they have just been around the block”.

New EVO x GpN Kit available
Brembo have designed a competition brake kit which has been homologated for Mitsubishi Evo VIII, IX and X Group N rally cars. The front and rear axle kits are available in both gravel and tarmac specifications, with the tarmac rally specification using a massive 355mm front disc. The kits come complete with all the necessary components to give an Evo unbelievably good brakes. BSMSPORT have all the kits in stock.
The Touring Car Masters category, where the Supercars of the 60's and 70's (Mustangs, Camaros, Falcon GT's) run has recently been permitted to upgrade their brakes using more modern components. These cars all have to use a 15" wheel, so they require a brake system capable of fitting inside this wheel.
The components from the above Evo GpN gravel kit are designed specifically to fit inside the regulation 15" gravel wheel, so the leading competitors in the Touring Car Masters, including championship winner Gavin Bullas, Jim Richards and Drew Marget have all chosen the same caliper & discs from the Brembo Evo GpN kit to stop their Mustangs & Falcon Sprint.
Pagid RS19 wins Targa Wrest point
After a torrid struggle with Tony Quinn and Jason White; Greg Garwood driving his Porsche GT3 RS, won the 2009 Targa Wrest Point outright by a mere 3 seconds from Quinn and White a further 9 seconds back.
Greg and his co-driver John Allen had battled with Tony and Naomi Tillet throughout the day with the difference of only seconds after each stage.
Garwood’s co-driver said that to stay in front of Quinn in his new Nissan R35 they had to use all the strengths of the Porsche, braking as late as possible, and several times he thought it might have been too late, but the excellent feel of the Pagid RS19’s gave Garwood the ability to bring the Porsche back from the edge time after time and seal the win by the smallest of margins.
